Okay, so here’s something a little different.
I’ve been looking for new and interesting fertility food mash-ups, especially with barely a week to go before stims. And there are only so many times you can eat smashed avocado on toast (even if a nice ‘elevated’ version can be found here).
Anyway, if you’re looking for a quick fertility fix in the morning, try this:
Two boiled eggs (I remove the yolks since the dietician at my doctor’s office has me eating eggs every day before and during stims)
Handful of cashews (you can chuck in a couple of walnuts too)
Sprinkle of cayenne pepper
Sprinkle of salt (or lime/lemon juice – this has the added benefit of ensuring the avocados don’t go off colour)
Drizzle of flavoured extra virgin olive oil (If you’re lucky enough to be US-based, I live for Stonehouse and its Blood Orange Oil, which I douse EVERYTHING with).
That’s at least five fertility pick-me-ups on your plate, and it’s delish. You could probably add anything else you might like, and some cilantro for a lift. If it’s handy, I throw in a little garlic.
